Wisdom of the Ages

Reading for Self Development Social Responsibilities of a Human Being

Capt Surender Malhan

Family & Relationships / Parenting / Grandparenting

This is a must-read book for anyone with human genes.

The four pillars of civilization are courage, intellect, integrity, and teamwork.

Civilization is created and maintained by the competent few.

The goal of this motivational self-help book by Capt. Surender Malhan is to help us create and maintain civilization and to help us protect and preserve our Earth.

The ideas in the book will help motivate and guide us in our effort toward self-development-mental, moral, and psychological-and help become a creator in this great drama of life and realize our full potential.

We will understand what it means to be born a human being, as well as the duties and responsibilities that come with it.

The goal of life is the pursuit of happiness. Capt. Malhan believes happiness depends entirely on good education, which should teach us first to be a good human being and then how to earn a living. The end of attending school is not the end of education but the beginning of the lifelong process of self-education. The right education at the right time is the solution to the challenges mankind faces. The price we pay for lack of education is huge.

Based on Capt. Malhan's lectures, study, analysis, and experience of over forty five years, his wish is to pass on the wisdom of the ages as he learned and understood it to be, in plain and simple language so all might understand.

In Capt. Malhan's words:

Question: Who should read this book?

Malhan: Any person who wants -- long term peace, progress, prosperity, happiness and success - for yourself, your parents, children, grandchildren and for generations to come; will love to read this book.

I have written this book in a manner so as anyone from 10 years age to grand parents will enjoy reading.

Question: What do you expect to see in Book Review?

Answer: Let me put it across this way.

Civilization is created and maintained by the competent few. This was true until now. Our planet and the human species is faced with such extraordinary challenges, that a few handful of "competent few" will not be able to save our planet, and save the human species from extinction.

Lets travel forward in time about 1000 years or more. The human race has perished. Let us imagine, a visitor from another planet visiting Earth, stumbles upon this book and reads it. What review will he write? Perhaps this: "Once upon a time, the human species inhabited earth. They were capable of such amazing intellect, wisdom and good judgement. Why then did they perish? If only a few more had read books like this!"

Before boarding his flight back to his home planet he writes in his travel diary: "Lesson learnt! Greed destroyed Earth!" On his flight back, (like Charles Darwin) he continues his work to identify certain sample skeletal remains he collected and begins identifying and marking them -- "Vladimir Putin, ..., Hitler, ... Stalin, ..., Xi Jinping, Kim Jong-un, ...Tracy Julian, Terri P Bottinelli, David B Katz, ..", and a few billionaires, "Bill Gates, Jeff Bezos, Elon Musk, ..."

True and lasting peace, progress, prosperity is built on a foundation of integrity; through our decisions and actions that are ethical, moral, just and fair to all. There is just no other way!
