Thanks to some recent authors - first of all to the group led by Professor Valeriu Cotea ("Romania's vineyards and wines”, a true manual, a guide, a reference book), to Professor Viorel Stoian ("The Great Tasting Book", an exceptional work) to Mihai Macici (the author of a first attempt in the field, "The Wines of Romania") and to M. Ogrinji and I. Neamțu ("Under the Zodiac of Bachus") - thanks also to the articles and books of Prof. Nicolai Pomohaci, Prof. Ioan Nămoloșanu, Prof. Avram Todosie, Dr. Ion Pușca, today we have a fairly clear picture of Romanian viticulture, if not a complete one. Extremely brief and only for the benefit of amateur inventory, I list here the names of the great vineyards and wines in Romania (this is just so you know where to look for your favorite wine).
