What to read after The Best of the Best in Basketball?

An introduction to women's basketball is followed by a brief history which focuses on some of the sport's past stars and pioneers. Each of eight chapters features an athlete with information on her early on her early life, how she got to where she is today, her athletic accomplishments, quotes from her and about her, a tip or playing technique, statistical charts, and, most important, a defining moment in her athletic career. Featured athletes are Cynthia Cooper, Teresa Edwards, Lisa Leslie, Rebecca Lobo, Nikki McCray, Dawn Staley, Sheryl Swoopes, and Teresa Weatherspoon. The final chapter of the book will look at the future of the sport and identify some up-and-coming stars.
