Watani Stiner's history at San Quentin State Prison dates back more than four decades when he was first admitted there as an inmate. Watani was a state prison inmate in the state of California who was serving a life sentence. And although he was imprisoned at San Quentin for the better part of 26 years, the year 1969 marked the final time he was able to freely roam the streets of this country prior to his release in January of 2015. That occurred more than 47 years ago. We will go into the specifics of his life story as we read this book.
