Recreation Songs

Joseph Augustus Seiss

Music / Religious / Hymns

This is a vintage collection of religious celebratory songs, compiled by Joseph A. Seiss. The songs include: "A Morning Song", "An Evening Song for the Little Ones", "A Song for Christmas", "A Song for Sanctuary", "A Song of the Ending Year", "A Song to the Saviour", "A Song of Song", "A Song of the Blessed Hope", and "A Song of the Sea". Joseph Augustus Seiss (March 18, 1823 - June 20, 1904) was an American theologian and Lutheran minister most famous for his contributions to pyramidology and dispensationalism. His best-known work is "The Great Pyramid of Egypt, Miracle in Stone: Secrets and Advanced Knowledge" (1877), considered a primary text of pyramidology. Other notable works by this author include: "The Last Times and the Great Consummation" (1856), "The Children of Silence; Or, The Story of the Deaf" (1887), and "The Letter of Jesus" (1888). Many vintage books such as this are becoming increasingly scarce and expensive. We are republishing this volume now in an affordable, modern, high-quality edition complete with the original text and artwork.
