Saying these eleven verses that begin and end with the letter nun is a special protection against evil eye and witchcraft. I found an old manuscript on leather parchment, which states in the name of Rabbi Yehudah HaChasid that reciting these verses causes the satan to flee from a person. It is for this reason that the letter samekh does not appear even once in all these verses. I also found, in the book Kab HaYashar (chapter 32 end), a special prayer to say following the recitation. I bring it here, clean of all mistakes, with some helpful additions (Shomer Yisrael, siman yod-beit)
