Set in the year 2036 in Shillong Meghalaya, India, The Rupa-Khyriem family is at the height of their prestige and the father of the family at the height of his power in the state and the crown jewel of his success so far comes when he inaugurates the world’s tallest skyscraper in one of the most seismically active regions in the world. Three towers reaching for the stars all then connecting at the top relying on each other to stabilise their tall structure and the building itself seems more like a metaphor for the man’s rising status, with some predicting he could end up being the most powerful person in the country. But however a man with such stature is not someone without skeletons in his vast closet. His ultimate achievement may just stand the test of time but how should any man with such power react when his image, family structure and life start to crumble when the truth comes to light and the chicken comes home to roost?
