Lymphomas form a heterogeneous group of diseases as regards aggressiveness, need of care and prognosis. If a patient has prolonged symptoms after treatment of lymphoma, thorough investigations are indicated to rule out recurrence. Consider the possibility of late adverse effects of treatment (early menopause, hypothyroidism, cardiac disease, certain infections and secondary malignancies).
