 Livestock, domesticated animals raised under conditions of agricultural production goods such as food, fibre and labour. The term is often used to refer exclusively to those raised for food, and sometimes only farmed ruminant animals such as cattle and goats. Breeding, maintenance and the slaughter of these animals, known as animal husbandry, is a component of modern agriculture, which is already practiced in many cultures after moving humanity agriculture from hunter-gatherer lifestyles.

Husbandry practices varied across cultures and time periods. Initially, the cattle were not only through fences or Corps, but these practices have changed greatly for the intensive livestock, sometimes referred to as factory farming. These practices increase the yields of various commercial activities, but have led to increased concern about animal welfare and the impact on the Wednesday.
