During a 65-year career, Douglas appeared in more than 70 feature films, from 1939 to 2004.
As a film actor, Douglas pushed the envelope. He did not limit himself to one, safe persona but, as a friend once put it, challenged himself to a multiplicity of roles, showing spirit, humor and daring.
Footnote: The 1999 film, Diamonds, co-starring Kirk Douglas, is not represented in this book. A high quality poster was unavailable for publication.
