What to read after Hero of Terra?

Ten millennia in the future, cyber and genetic engineering blur the meaning of humanity, and science is indistinguishable from magic. Trillions live in small artificial worlds scattered across the outer Solar System in an incomprehensibly vast and diverse meta-civilization. Among those millions of worlds, Terra is one of a handful whose people live like those of ancient Earth, kept ignorant in a culture frozen in an early industrial era.

In Terra, Private Investigator Jason Kane is the man to turn to when the cops can’t help. His quick wits, ready fists, and unbending thirst for justice have earned him the respect of low-life street crooks and the corrupt political elite alike. But like almost all Terrans, Kane has always taken for granted that his world is all there is. Then his best friend starts babbling about witches, his client in a seemingly simple missing-person case reveals she’s a visitor from another world, and the missing man becomes a suspect in a conspiracy that threatens to destroy his world and billions of lives beyond it. When Terra’s cybernetic goddess commissions Kane as her Hero in the struggle to save Terra, he’s hopelessly out of his depth.
