Hannibal Breaks His Promise is a story of how the large yellow cat lets his personal desires come before his promise to his friends. While Sam, Rudie and Boots are off chasing the seagulls along the banks of Lake Erie, Hannibal goes back on his word. When the dogs find out what he has done they are disappointed and faced with a dilemma of what to do. In Hannibal Breaks His Promise, the dogs learn a valuable lesson about democracy and Hannibal learns about the importance of keeping his promises, and the consequences of breaking them.
