Hi, my name is Kasia Cunningham and by the age of 8 I have been discriminated against, judged, felt hopeless, and didn't want to be me anymore. These things were caused by the lack of diversity in my school systems and the lack of information about my roots growing up. It was a challenge growing up. For instance, I went to a predominantly white school up until I was ten then switching to a predominantly black school and being clueless as to why I was being

called a "white girl." But it also never helped when I was going in between two households at the same time with two sets of rules and parents who rarely got along. Despite those discriminations I focused my energy on something different. I decided to come out with my own vegan and cruelty free cosmetic brand. Kosmo Galore. And at the age of twelve I decided to start building my career in cosmetology and cosmetics. Due to boredom caused by the pandemic, I took interest in perfecting my makeup skills. I noticed that the makeup I was using was breaking out my skin, causing rashes and dark spots. So, I decided to research the companies I was using. I found out that these companies would test on animals for their products. Saddened by my findings I wanted to be the change in the beauty community. I went through months of trials and research and in May of 2020 I produced my first lip gloss. From there I hosted birthday parties, baby showers, weddings, pop up shops and seminars. The mission of my business is to make people feel confident in their own skin without chemicals. Kosmo Galore caterers to all ages, genders, and ethnicities. It is an important part of my brand to be inclusive for everyone so that nobody feels left out like I did. Kosmo Galore isn't like your regular cosmetic business that disregards their customers. We like to prioritize our customers' thoughts and feelings. Our products are proven to provide soothing and moisturizing benefits. We also help the environment by using tubes that are reusable so after your gloss is finished you could fill it with something else. Kosmo Galore also caters to our customers by not overpricing for our products.
