What to read after Dental caries and other diseases of the hard tissues of the teeth and dental pulp?

Caries is a disease of the hard dental tissues. It has a high prevalence; it concerns almost everyone in industrialized countries. In countries with systematically organized dental care of children and adolescents, the prevalence of caries in younger generations has significantly decreased whereas the prevalence in older population has increased.
The first stage of carious attack is the formation of dental plaque on certain surfaces of the tooth. The micro-organisms of normal oral microbial flora accumulate on the pellicle (formed from saliva) on tooth surfaces, and the formation of dental plaque starts.
