In the Oromia region of Ethiopia, particularly in Burayu sub-city, owning a house is considered a significant achievement. However, there are various challenges faced by residents during construction, including inadequate quality control of materials, lack of technical expertise, and inadequate supervision of construction sites. These challenges have led to the construction of unsafe and sub-standard buildings, leading to loss of lives and property.
