Bodh Gaya is a very famous religious site of Buddhist pilgrims as it is said to be the place where Gautam Buddha attained enlightenment under the Bodhi tree. This sacred tree is located inside the Mahabodhi Temple Complex which comes under the Gaya district of Bihar in India.
In 2002 this temple complex was included in the list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
