A Song For Zenith

M.A Amru

Fiction / Science Fiction / Cyberpunk

From acclaimed author, M.A Amru

To be or not to be. That is all that matters...

An overnight success, a bright future, and then a man from the future appeared. A computer from the past is among the things he wants. He goes by the name John Titor. The only person who can help him... Zenith's Mei Majid. They are, however, being pursued. Not even loved ones can be trusted. So, who can be trusted? Worlds can be undone, worlds can again fall into iniquity. For an old IBM, for their emotions, and the sake of humanity. Few would step forward as the righteous in a world of war, where lives are meaningless, and dictators rule. Each has its agenda, each has wicked visions, and each is against the other.

The quest he has undertaken is crucial. She is his strength. If he fails, there will be a nuclear war, but the seeds of that conflict are unravelling before him.

A Song For Zenith is a novel by Singaporean author, M.A Amru, that delves into an action-packed, thrill ride that would keep your nose on each page. A homage to 80s and 90s Japanese cyberpunk Anime, A Song For Zenith brings about a new perspective and retelling of the classic Shakespearian plays that of Henry V and Titus Andronicus.

When I wrote this novel. I envisioned it as a homage to 80s, 90s cyberpunk anime that was popular at that time and I do have watched a lot of that kind of animation like Bubblegum Crisis and Angel Cop. What I am trying to convey is the feeling of watching back those old animations in writing which in modern Science Fiction does not. Not many novels do focus on Japanese cyberpunk specifically from the 1980s and it has become a niche genre to say. Only a few knew of such obscure good content since they were released as OVAs rather than on television. However, I do make note of the newer Science Fiction trends in my novels although not to follow them entirely. What I present is a unique work for all to enjoy.
